CEO
David Winter is co-founder and CEO at Teragear. He is focused on implementing high-speed signal processing platforms at scale, and has extensive experience within the industry developing signal processing hard- and software. He received his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Communications Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT) in 2025.

Daniel Drayß
CTO
Daniel is co-founder and CTO at Teragear. He is working on bringing novel technologies from research to commercial applications. From 2014 to 2017 Daniel was working at SICK AG, Waldkirch, Gemany, receiving the B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg, Lörrach, Germany, in 2017, the M.Sc. degree from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Karlsruhe, Germany in 2020, and the PhD degree in Electrical Engineering at the Institute of Photonics and Quantum Electronics (IPQ) at KIT in 2024.

Christian Koos
Strategist
Christian is co-founder and strategist at Teragear. He is a scientist and entrepreneur in the field of optics & photonics and holds a professor position at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where he is affiliated with the Institute of Photonics and Quantum Electronics (IPQ). His research focuses on integrated photonics and associated applications in high-speed communications, signal processing, as well as sensing and metrology. Christian received his PhD (Dr.-Ing.) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Karlsruhe in 2007. From 2008 to 2010, he led the technology radars “Nanotools and Nanometrology” and “Metrology” at Carl Zeiss AG.
